Charging Corals!
I frequently see spam posts in World Chat asking "How 2 get coral?", "How to recharge my coral?", "What happen when my coral dies?!". Thats why I decicded to write on this short Experience Exchange page.
First things first, as an Explorer / Voyager you will have to know this man.
Coral Vendor - Lamon
2061, 2543
He resides in Ascaron, just outside Argent City. To get to him, press alt+r and type in the above mentioned set of numbers that are known as "coordinates". Lamon sells Level 1-2 Corals, Strike- Fog- Thunder- Wind. The Lv1 Corals go for 100g per piece, but have a small number of charges(100). The Lv2 Corals go for 5000g per piece, but have 900 charges in them! This saves a ton of inventory space.
As an Explorer thunder corals will be your main expense, but when you turn into a Voyager, Strike Corals, along with EQ's and pets add to your expenses. Thunder corals may be charged in a thunderstorm, and the 'charges' will return to full.
Just a point to take note, Strike corals CANNOT be charged!!! Don't bother entering PVP and asking a fellow voy to conch you in hopes that your charges will be replenished!!!
Ok, so how do I charge my Thunder/Fog/Wind corals?!
If you have noticed, a Weather Report comes out frequently in the System message.
Thunderstorm-> Thunder
Tornado->Wind
Fog->Fog -.-
The coordinates will accompany the type of weather effect, so just hit alt+r and type in the coordinates, sail out to sea and get those corals charged!
The weather effects eg. Thunderstorm will cause your ship to get damaged SLIGHTLY, so don't be surprised to see a bunch of '6'es jumping out of nowhere. Hit alt+e and you will see the coral equiped glowing purple in a sense. Kind of like purple lightning passing through your coral. The charges are replenished in '50' charges, so you might have to spend alittle bit of time to fully charge all of them.
Also, for some strange reason, when the animation of the weather effect goes off, look in your inventory and you see that your corals are still charging. This is not a glitch, your corals are indeed charging! So stick around for a few more seconds before heading to another weather effect nearby.
Hm, one more thing is that some weather effects are not mentioned in the weather report! So what you should do when your current one wears out is to travel in a circular motion around the original spot. There are tons of them, so be patient and don't freak out
Thank you and I hope this benefitted you. If you have any additional information for me to add on, please do not hesitate to click the reply button!

it usually takes about 18 hits from lightning to recharge lvl 2 thunder coral since every hit recharges 50 energy(at least for that one coral)
